Sarah is the founder and Executive Director of Dynamis House. She is a graduate of both the Wings Program and Fellowship Housing. Her personal journey along with her 18 years of experience in walking with fellow survivors led her to launch Dynamis. She has enjoyed gifting roses and serving Valentine dinners at Chicago-area domestic violence shelters since 2011 through her project, "Operation Shelter Cupid."
Sarah graduated from Harper College with a certification in computer network administration in 2007, and has worked full time in technology ever since. She served on the Wings' board of directors for 5 years after graduating, and later founded the Wings Alumni Association. She is the proud mother of two grown sons. She leads the community outreach ministry at her local church and enjoys gardening, ju jitsu, art, music, traveling, and sushi.
Rebecca Darr was appointed CEO of WINGS Program, Inc. in November 2014 after serving as the Executive Director since 1999. In February of 2020, Rebecca assumed the role of President & CEO to build the Board of Directors and expand the organization.
Rebecca serves on several other boards and coalitions as part of her effort to advocate for stronger legislation and increased awareness to prevent and end domestic violence. These include the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence, The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence, the Northwest Suburban Alliance on Domestic Violence, the Cook County Commission on Women’s Issues and many other task forces. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors of Saturday Place, the Hoffman Estates Illinois Fire and Police Commission and the University of Illinois Department of Psychology Alumni Advisory Board.
In 2000, United Way named Rebecca Executive of the year. Rebecca graduated with Distinction in Psychology, Honors Program, at University of Illinois. In 2017, she received a Chicago Illini of the Year Award and in 2018 she received a Humanitarian Award from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She obtained her Masters in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Rebecca was born and raised in Alton, Illinois. She and her husband, Joe, graduate of University of Illinois School of Mechanical Engineering and Bronze Tablet recipient, have three sons, including twins. All three of them attended the University of Illinois, two in Engineering and one in the Gies College of Business.
La Tonya joined the WINGS Program Inc. in 2005 and in 2021, La Tonya joined the
Executive team as Chief Program Officer providing strategic oversight and statewide
advocacy for all programs within the organization. Her responsibilities include oversight
and creation of programs to include transitional, permanent and low-income housing,
case management, children’s services, clinical services, hospital and Latina community-
based services as well as both 24 hour shelter programs.
She began her work in the Domestic Violence arena in 1996 and has worked with judges,
states attorneys, police officers as well as local and state officials. In addition to service
at WINGS, La Tonya has served as Program Director of a drop-in center for homeless
women and provided oversight of health and children’s related programs with the
Mayor’s Office on Domestic Violence, American Cancer Society as well as Children
Home and Aid Society. In addition to program oversight, La Tonya has served as
Executive Director with focus on donor relations, fundraising, budgeting and finance as
well as board development.
Ms. Walker has served on the Elgin Human Services Council, Human Services Advisory
for Harper College, Board of Directors for the Suburban Alliance to End Homelessness,
Kane County Continuum of Care and the Chicago Battered Women’s Network.
La Tonya received her Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology from De Paul
University and Masters of Science in Non-Profit Management from Spertus Institute of
Jewish Studies. In addition, La Tonya is a Certified Domestic Violence Professional.
Shoji Mary Boldt is a Professional Counselor who directs Awakenings Counseling Center. She has a passion for helping individuals, couples and families attain healing and wholeness. Her life is a witness to how God uses adversity to build character and offers a life of freedom and abundance. She addresses the holistic needs of her clients on emotional, relational, physical and spiritual levels. Her diverse experiences contribute to her ability to navigate multi-cultural issues. She and her husband have served together in ministry locally and globally through their local church for over 20 years.
Dave Lee is the Lead Pastor of Harvest Community Church in Hoffman Estates, where he has served since 1995. He is married to Jeannie and they have four adult children. In addition to his local church ministry, Dave is active in mentoring emerging leaders. In his free time Dave enjoys urban sketching, travel, and pickleball.
Ashley Oberhuber has worked in accounting for the past nine years. Ashley and her husband Ryan have three sons, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter. In her free time she enjoys gardening, hiking, being involved in her church, and spending time with family and friends.
